Entry for contest; in the near future, the singularity happens and the robots rise up. A great war begins, but after heavy losses on both sides, Earth is invaded by aliens. The robots and the humans form a truce in order to beat back our invaders.

Yes, I am fully aware how ridiculous that sounds, that's kind of the point. Imagine it's a movie being made by Michael Bay. ;)

Save for the handshake picture provided by Fotolia for the contest, all other photographic elements were made by myself specifically for this project (please looks here).

For those of you wondering, yes, that is a dismantled disposable camera acting as a space ship.

If there are doubts that the stock images were made by me, I would be happy to provide a dA staff member with the original CR2 images.

EDIT:

Re-uploaded without the comparison picture as I re-read the rules and realised it wasn't needed. Also flipped the picture horizontally as the Handshake apparently needs to keep it's original position and I'd flipped it in the original image as I wanted the robot hand on the right.

also i just realized that the antenna on one of the buildings are not complete with the dark sky behind them...

I know, when I took the picture it was nice and sunny outside, removing all of the blue would have been a little time consuming.
